Scott Disick is finding all sorts of ways to keep cashing in on his relationship with the Kardashian family (most notably with sister Kourtney). His latest stunt? Apparently, he required a $15,000 fee to get Kim Kardashian to attend a launch party at the New York City hot spot the Chelsea Room. He supposedly guaranteed that she would show up, which she did – but it gets much worse!
According to the New York Post’s Page Six, Scott Disick also promised that in exchange for the money, he’d also guarantee that the Kardashian’s appearance would be included on their popular reality show Kourtney & Kim Take New York. Here’s where things get really dicey: E! does not make any money for filming in specific locations. Not only that, but clubs have to sign documents saying they didn’t pay for any publicity they got because the Kardashians showed up. Scott got around all of this “through a quiet deal where he was compensated in cash to bring press-popular Kim.”
Keep in mind that Kim reportedly knew nothing about this little deal that Disick brokered. Nada. In fact, if you watch the show, you’ll remember that when Scott asked her to attend this particular event, she said yes – despite her mom/manager Kris Jenner’s concerns about her endorsing anything. Kim just wanted to support Scott. She was clueless about his back room-style dealings to make money off of his relationship with the family.
Now that the cat’s out of the proverbial bag, how angry do you think the Kardashians will be? Kris will likely be shooting steam from her ears! Scott Disick: This seems the ideal time to either explain yourself (good luck) or duck and cover (good idea).
